Privacy Policy

Overview

HerMoon is a private period and cycle tracker. We designed it to work without an account and without sending your cycle information to our servers.

Information stored by HerMoon

The app may store profile names, cycle dates, period duration, daily flow intensity, feelings, discomfort, spotting, missed-period indicators, and notes that you choose to enter.

Where information is stored

HerMoon stores this information locally on your device. The current version does not provide cloud accounts or automatic multi-device synchronization.

Encrypted backups

HerMoon creates a backup only when you request one. Backups are encrypted using the password you choose. We do not receive that password, cannot recover it, and do not control where you save or share the backup.

Cycle-history imports

When you choose a CSV or compatible JSON export, HerMoon reads the selected file on your device to identify completed period start and end dates. The file is not uploaded to HerMoon or sent to our servers. You review the detected records before saving them, and unsupported, invalid, duplicate, or overlapping records are skipped. HerMoon does not request or store credentials for another app.

Sharing, advertising, and analytics

HerMoon does not sell personal information. The current version does not use health information for advertising, third-party analytics, or user profiling, and does not share entered health information with third parties.

Face ID and device authentication

If you enable App Lock, authentication is performed by Apple on your device. HerMoon does not receive or store your Face ID data or device passcode.

Data retention and deletion

Your information remains on your device until you remove it, uninstall the app, or erase the device. HerMoon provides controls to clear one profile’s history or delete all app data. Deletion is permanent unless you created an encrypted backup beforehand.

Children and family profiles

HerMoon can be used by families on a shared device. A parent or guardian should supervise use by a child and control access to the device and any exported backup.
